Arne Jacobsen Ceilling Lamp

Arne Jacobsen was a world-famous architect with a passion for architecture that resulted in the creation of numerous architectural wonders—including the National Bank and the SAS Royal Hotel and Terminal in Copenhagen. As time passed, he discovered light design and went on to create a series of unique lamps, many of which have become design icons throughout the world.

Arne Jacobsen’s ceiling lamps are a great fit for all rooms—the living room, hallway, bedroom, etc. It’s a lovely alternative to the classic plafond, perfect for those who appreciate an amazing light from an almost artistic lamp. The AJ Eklipta ceiling lamp was designed for Rødovre City Council in 1959. Back then, it was designed in two different sizes with diameters of 35 and 45 cm. Later on, the lamp appeared in a smaller version with a 22 cm diameter, designed for St. Catherina’s College in England. The diffuse uniform light from AJ Eklipta is particularly well-suited for stairwells, both as a ceiling or a wall lamp.
