New Works Lamps
New Works is a Copenhagen-based design company that does a little bit of everything - and more! Since 2015, New Works has been bringing something new and exciting to the world of design, and with collections in home, interior and lighting, there are plenty of opportunities to add something playful and creative from New Works to your home. New Works' own mantra is: "Natural, experimental, raw and craftsmanship", and as you can see below, they live up to those four words!
New Works lamps are beautiful, different and have that little something extra! The Material pendant has become a modern classic, and with its variety of materials it can fit into any home. The Kizu table lamp has literally turned table lamps as we know them upside down, and this lamp really is one that stands out and looks good wherever it is placed.

You don't have to be an architect or creative director to love what they do at New Works. They're not keen on spreading postmodern aesthetics or urban industrialism; they work to rethink forms, materials and solutions. For example, this is said quite elegantly about their chairs, tables, sofas and lamps, where the attitude is that they do not need to be understood, but simply used.
Compromise is something New Works does not and has never compromised on. The whole concept, name, thoughts, ideas and products are built on craftsmanship and creative imagination. You won't have to look far to find cheaper designs elsewhere, but that's just the way it is.\ With a passion for doing exactly what they want, New Works is now well on its way to challenging everything that can be defined as "normal" and plans to continue to do so in a big way.
Like any other well-established company, New Works has values, but they just don't think there's any point in spending time trumpeting them. They simply state that they are ambitious, fun and mega creative, and then let their products tell the story.\ There is a very small threshold between inspiration and imitation, and the trick is not to cross it.
A good shot of freedom of speech and the courage to rethink norms and rules. Not because you can, but because sometimes things just need to be turned upside down to be seen in the right light.
With roots firmly rooted in Scandinavia and a love of light and white, it doesn't mean that everything ends up in bleached light wood and shades that, at their wildest, are tinted white. New Works are their own people and do what suits them, when it suits them. Everything from everywhere in a good way.
