Woud Lamps
Woud is a new, emerging Danish brand founded in May 2014 by Mia Koed and Torben Koed. After 30 years of experience in sales and production of design furniture, they both needed a change. With high ambitions and a focus on quality, they took on the challenge of starting their own brand - from scratch.
New and well-known designers
Since 2014, things have gone from strength to strength. Danes immediately fell in love with the many unique designs and the brand has experienced huge success. Their mission was and still is to find the greatest design talent and make their innovative and unique designs accessible to everyone. In 2019, Woud worked with more than 30 different talented designers who all share their passion for simple and Nordic design. Without compromising on functionality and quality, they create stylish designs that fit into the Nordic interior.
The team of designers includes both up-and-coming designers and established design names. Among them Philip Bro, who is behind the beautiful Stone pendant inspired by the soft, round stones of the beach. Rikke Frost, who has designed the beautiful series of Dot pendants. Of particular note is the Gap pendant, a simple and feminine series of pendants in black combined with the golden metal brass. Designed by Studio Nur, the series combines a raw exterior with a feminine interior that provides a warm and cozy light.
Passionate about sharing design
The Danish design house is located in Søndergade in Horsens, where perfection and honest design is the basic idea. Mia and Torben Koed strive for innovation in form, function and choice of material and have a burning desire to share their love of design with all their customers. This is evident in their wide range, which covers everything from coffee tables and lounge chairs to original lighting.
Woud is characterized by their minimalist and stylish design that fits easily into the Scandinavian decor. Their designs are created from three basic principles, quality, honesty and simplicity, all of which are in focus in the Nordic style, where Woud fits in perfectly.
