Lumiere
Meet the Lumiere series from Foscarini, consisting of table lamps and a few floor lamps. Foscarini was founded in 1981 in Venice, Italy, and after some smaller design projects, it wasn't until 1990 that the company really took off. The reason for its success was a man named Rodolfo Dordoni who designed the beautiful Lumiere lamp in collaboration with Foscarini. The first was the table lamp, which quickly became popular with its classic look and elegant glass shade. The original lamps are available in sizes Grande (L) and Piccola (S), but since then XXL and XXS models have also been added.
Foscarini - the company behind it
Foscarini was established in 1981 in Venice. They started exploring new and exciting material options, including the exclusive murano glass. Foscarini creates light sculptures that give us the feeling of caress, poetic embrace, light touch, sensual embrace and seductive hidden light. The brand is characterized by a high degree of creativity and an alternative and innovative choice of materials, colors and textures.
Today, the company works with both established designers who have created new trends, as well as younger 'new comers' who work with alternative styles and methods. They use several well-known and reputable designers, which is certainly the basis of their success. Rodolfo Dordoni, who has also designed for Flos, is among the selection of designers and is also the man behind the Lumiere lamps.
