Binta presents itself in a cosy design with a clear, nostalgic undertone that contributes to a relaxed atmosphere in the room. Particularly striking for this lamp is its bell-shaped and slightly angular textile lampshade, whose matt, rough surface easily blends in as an integral part of the surroundings. The inside is white, so the light is reflected and appears even clearer when you switch on the lamp. As fabric is a permeable material, the light shines out through the lampshade itself in a diffused glow that emphasises the beautiful shade design. As the lampshade is also open at both ends, you also get a harmonious two-part lighting that is ideal for many rooms in the home.
Binta is a whole series of lamps designed by Ingo Thiele for the German lighting manufacturer Lucande. The lamps come in many versions and colours, all with the same harmonious shade design.
