Pilke Signature 45 Loftlampe Black brings a touch of the grand Finnish forests into your home. The Finnish forests have been the backdrop and birthplace of everything from legendary rally drivers and the Moomins to wood artisanry and the darkness that makes the Finns some of the world’s experts on light, so it’s only fitting that they have inspired Pilke’s signature collection.
The lamp combines traditional Finnish craftsmanship with modern computer design that allowed the designer Tuuka Halonen from Pilke to create a lamp consisting of small wooden plates without glue or so much as a single screw. The ceiling lamp is made of birch, and although the shape has the power to fill the room and command attention, the hole-filled construction makes the lamp light and airy.
