The Toldbod 170 Pendant Dark Rose is based on a lighting thought up by Poul Henningsen. The was originally intended for street lights, but it turned out to be a phenomenal solution for indoor use. It ensures a uniform and round, symmetrical light that doesn’t blind – as per Poul Henningsen’s philosophy of creating light that illuminates the surroundings without blinding.
The pendant was introduced in 2018, but we met its predecessor, Toldbod 280, in 1982, and in 2006, we were graced with Toldbod 155, an outdoor wall lamp and bollard in the same timeless design.
This pendant has a diameter of 17 cm, but it is available in a range of sizes. It looks lovely on its own or as part of a pair suspended above your dining table or kitchen island where you ned direct lighting. Mixing and matching the different colours and sizes allows you to achieve a unique expression for your home.
