Dante Donegani & Giovanni Lauda

Born: 1956 (Giovanni Lauda) and 1957 (Dante Donegani).\ Known works: Luxy lamp and String lamp.\ Education: Architect.

Dante Donegani was born in Pinzolo (province of Trento) in 1957. He earned a degree in architecture in Florence in 1983. From 1987 to 1991 he worked in Olivetti's Corporate Identity department.Since 1991, he has been the director of the Master of Design program at the Domus Academy in Milan.

In 1992, he opened D&L Studio together with Giovanni Lauda.He has designed layouts for art exhibitions, corporate identity projects and products for a number of companies including Memphis, Stildomus, Isuz, Luceplan, Le Cose Nostre, Edra, Radice.

Donegani has won important competitions in architecture and his work has been shown in numerous exhibitions. In 2001, he was responsible for setting up the 'home' section of the exhibition titled "Italy and Japan: Design as Lifestyle."

Giovanni Lauda was born in Naples in 1956, where he also received his architecture degree. In addition to lamps, he has also designed furniture for private homes and businesses. Lauda has taught at the Domus Academy in Milan since 1993 and has also created many exhibitions at the Triennale di Milano, among others.
