Designer Michael Anastassiades and the Italian lighting brand Flos embarked on a lasting collaboration in 2014. One of the results of this partnership is the elegant and expressive IC collection. The lovely, daring lamps are inspired by a video of a juggler balancing balls on their arms and hands. Perfectly balancing atop the slender stand, the spherical lampshade mimics the moment where the juggler—as if by magic—balances the ball on the tip of their fingers. An atmospheric lamp that looks stunning in modern and classic décor alike.

The Italian brand Flos is known for quality, innovative products, and stylish and elegant designs. In other words, Flos more than lives up to the “Made in Italy” label. Its designs challenge our understanding of form and function while delivering aesthetically stunning expressions.
Michael has been fascinated with Flos’ incredible lighting solutions from a young age. He grew up in a small village in Cyprus, where there was a shop with lamps and lighting solutions. He would go there to admire the lamps created by the Italian brand. The beginning of his collaboration with Flos in 2014 was the culmination of years of work in light design. His designs are the perfect addition to the Flos range, which is filled with expressive, atmospheric lamps characterised by brave materials and prominent designs.
His work is part of permanent exhibitions around the world, including at the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Art Institute of Chicago, the Victoria & Albert Museum in London, MAK in Vienna.
