If you're a fan of the old classic authors, the Around The World lamp may well bring back memories of a certain French author.
This is, of course, the second most translated author in history, second only to William Shakespeare, Jules Verne. In 1863, he wrote about three men, Dr Samuel Fergusson, Joe and Richard Kennedy, travelling across Africa in the book "Five Weeks in a Balloon" - a book that inspired Luigi Vittorio Cittadini to design the balloon-like "Around The World" lamp for Umage.
The lamp features a milky white opalised lampshade that is mouth-blown and a beautiful unifying metal detail that holds the air in the balloon, adding an extra layer of elegance and design. Use the lamp over the dining table, in the living room or in a reading corner.
