Skygarden Pendant Small Gold - Flos

The unique Skygarden Pendant Small Gold won the Edida Design Award in 2008. With its design in two parts, the lamp combines a simple surface with a detailed interior. The lamp creates an almost holy atmosphere as the hemisphere is reminiscent of a dome and the decorations on the inside look like something you would find in church.

Marcel Wanders was inspired by one of his previous homes. The high ceiling was decorated with flowery ornaments and he chose to call the ceiling his Skygarden. It was his inside garden that didn’t need water, sun or extra care. When he moved, he didn’t want to leave the decorative ceiling behind, so he brought it with him and now he’s sharing it with us through this wonderful design. Skygarden is hemispherical, has a cast plaster shade, is painted white on the inside and provides a comfortable, diffuse light.
