UMAGE is Danish design at its best. The brand has developed some stunning products that have been propelled to popularity in no time at all. The decorative feather lamp EOS and the stylish Asteria in particular have attracted significant attention. UMAGE was founded in 2008 with an ambition to create a sustainable concept defined by high quality and functionality. The Danish brand has grown quickly since day one, and the lamps are now available in more than 1,500 shops in more than 50 countries.

Vita Copenhagen becomes UMAGE
In the second half of 2018, the Danish design studio behind lamp designs like Eos and Silvia changed its name from Vita Copenhagen to UMAGE, which is the Danish word for ‘effort’. This name was chosen to reflect the values of the company and their approach to design. Because what is design with effort? In most cases, a lack of effort fails to produce a thought-out combination of form and function.
UMAGE makes the effort to ensure harmony, and the result is nothing short of impeccable. The numerous lamps created by the company are characterised by their uncompromising approach to the shaping process, selection of materials, and Scandinavian design tradition. The company creates lamps in a Nordic style with simple shapes, not to mention a light and practical expression.
