Bestlite
Designed by Robert Dudley Best in 1930, the Bestlite lamps were very atypical for the time with their simple shape.Best was inspired by the German Bauhaus movement, where form and function were more important than detailing. It wasn't popular at first, but when Winston Churchill personally chose the lamp to stand on his desk, it took off and the lamp gained great status, becoming Britain's first Bauhaus design. Simple, functional and beautiful.
The British company Best & Lloyd originally produced Bestlite lamps, but in 2003 the Danish design company GUBI bought all rights to the Bestlite lamps. Today, Bestlite lamps are some of GUBI's best-selling products and are found in many Danish and foreign homes.
Bestlite is available as a wall lamp, table lamp, floor lamp and pendant, so there is an opportunity to get a Bestlite classic wherever in your home you need a beautiful and classic lamp.
