Foscarini, Lodes og &Tradition. Luca Nichetto has a very impressive designer CV. He has designed many products and the Italian designer, who has design studios in Venice and Sweden, has created some of the most unique lamps.
Luca Nichetto founded his company, Nichetto & Partners, in 2006 and since then the exciting designer, who is based in both Sweden and Italy, has gone from strength to strength. When describing his style, adjectives like smart, simple, streamlined and fun come to mind - and it's no surprise when you look at the wide range of design gems that Nichetto is highly regarded in both Italian and Scandinavian design circles.
Foscarini were among those lucky enough to receive a lamp designed by Luca Nichetto - he is behind five lamp series at the Venetian lighting company: the Couchin series, a series of white glass pendants with unique soft curves; Troag Media, a long pendant; Plass pendants, colorful round pendants; Kurage, a cute little table lamp; and the unique O-Space.
Foscarini isn't the only company to have worked with the designer though - in fact, they're not even the only Italian company. Lodes, a high-end lighting brand, together with Luca Nichetto created the hugely fun and whimsical Easy Peasy lamps. They are made to go and are some of the most unique to-go lights available. The lamps use glass in different colors to create their fun shapes and forms.
Luca Nichetto has also created lamps with Scandinavian lighting company &Tradition. The beautiful Tabata lamp was created with a dream of making a wall light that seems to float. The weightlessness is felt in the model, and the three metal modules cast a wonderfully soft and diffused light over the room around them.
In addition to lamps, Luca Nichetto also makes a lot of other things. The designer is behind furniture, home accessories, glass, books and even a podcast where he talks about design and dialog. His studio specializes in great design art on commission - but once you hire them, you can expect Luca Nichetto's design company to be with you all the way from idea to product and beyond.
