Paolo Rizzatto was born in 1941 in Milan, where he graduated from the Polytecnico in 1965 at the age of 24 with a degree in architecture. Rizzatto works as a freelancer in architecture and design and is still developing his experience as a lamp designer. In 1978, he founded Luceplan together with Riccardo Sarfatti. He has also designed for Arteluce, Artemide, Luceplan, Alias, Cassina, Nemo Lighting, Molteni, Nuura, Knoll, Kartell, Montina, Thonet and Guzzini.
Rizzatto's projects in architecture and design are included in the permanent exhibition of numerous museums: La Triennale di Milano, Wave Hill Museum Centre in New York, Museum of Modern Art in New York and Albert Museum in London.
