Retro Lamps
Retro is a term used in modern times to describe something from the past and refers especially to fashion and interior design in the 1960s and 1970s. Retro design has long since made a comeback in modern interior design. A retro lamp adds a personal touch to your home. It will be a breath of fresh air in minimalist interiors where retro lamps add charm and a funky twist.

Lighting with retro design
Since the 1960s, the term 'retro design' has been used to describe an object that references a particular fashion, technique or material from the past. The word 'retro' in Latin means 'backwards' or 'in the past'. Nowadays, retro describes a fashion or style that is inspired by styles that have made a big impression over several generations. The retro style is generally used to describe a decor that refers to the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s; a simple and artistic decor that was a bit 'funky' at the same time. In lighting, there are several different types of retro lamps: The older and original lamps that can only be found at flea markets and second-hand shops. The retro table lamp
It's impossible to talk about retro table lamps without mentioning Verner Panton's popular Flowerpot VP3 table lamp. Panton designed the lamp in the 1960s, when it was produced by Louis Poulsen. After the lamp made a comeback in the 1990s, &Tradition resumed production in 2003, after which the lamp has once again enjoyed great success. Based on its success, the Flowerpot range, which already consisted of table lamps and pendants in different sizes, has been expanded with a Flowerpot VP9 portable table lamp in 2020.
