The Copper Wide LED Pendant light is the familiar copper shade from Tom Dixon in a slightly flatter design that makes it ideal for lighting rooms with lower ceilings. Like the other lamps in the collection, this version has a shiny metal surface achieved by vacuum metallisation, a process that is also used to make sunglasses or visors for spacesuits. In this process, a thin layer of metal is applied to the surface of the lampshade, which is made of plastic. The result is a highly lustrous, warm shine of deep red copper that beautifully reflects its surroundings and makes the lamp an instant eye-catcher both during the day and at night.
This variant is equipped with a built-in LED light source with all the advantages that make LED light preferable to conventional light sources: longer lifetime, more efficient energy conversion and better dimming options via external dimmer.
