Danish designer lamps
Throughout the past decades, Denmark has been home to the creation of exceptional lighting designs. It all started with the Danish light master, Poul Henningsen, in the 1920s. His designs became – and continue to be – known throughout the world and laid out the foundation that understands that good lighting is a combination of shape and function. Above all else, Danish design is thought through.
Nowadays, there are innumerable Danish lighting designs out there, in terms of table, floor, pendant, ceiling, wall and outdoor lamps. The common denominator is their focus on shape and function.
Experience all the beautiful Danish lamp designs and let yourself be inspired by everything from the classic and traditional table lamps to the new, experimental lamps.
Muuto Unfold – a Danish designer lamp
An exciting example of a thought-through piece of Danish lighting design is the Unfold pendant from Muuto. The shape is simple, but the material is unique. The pendant is manufactured from a soft, silicone material. The Danish design firm has reimagined the classic pendant and modernised it using a unique focus on shape and function. Available in a range of colours all of which are available at Lampemesteren.
