The Model 2065 Pendant White was designed by Gino Sarfatti in 1950. Back then, he was experimenting with the methacrylate material, which is both stronger and lighter than glass, and the result of his experimenting was Model 2065.
At its core, the pendant consists of two plate-shaped lampshades in opal methacrylate, assembled into a timeless and simple pendant. The material ensures that the lamp casts a diffuse light that illuminates the entire room and creates a cosy atmosphere. NB! The included bulbs are dimmable and can be used with a dimmer.
In 2016, a black version was introduced, where the upper lampshade had a black cover. The lower part is still diffuse, creating a downward-facing, more intimate light and a strong, graphic expression.
An aluminium tube painted black serves as an extension to the cable, marking the centre of the lamp and giving the cable a key role in the practically levitating design.
In the 2016 edition, the original incandescent bulb has been replaced with five LED bulbs to ensure an even light.
