Lampe Gras is a 20th century icon. It traces its roots back to 1922, when Bernard-Albin Gras created the first brushstrokes that have since evolved into a sizeable lamp family. The unique collection with its simple, robust, yet ergonomic design was originally designed for offices and industrial spaces. The base form contains no screws or welded joints.

The 201 Chrome Architect Lamp breathes functionality and aesthetic, and the design of the details like the arms, body, bracket, and joints are amazingly original, thought through, and ahead of their time. Le Corbusier was seduced by the modern design of the Lampe Gras early on and often used the lamps as part of his projects.
