60 years is no time at all for one of Gino Sarfatti's greatest successes, which turned the perception of a chandelier upside down when it was launched. In addition to illuminating the room, the chandelier must also be able to catch the eye and embrace the room. And now, more than ever, the 2097 in matte black can do just that.
Unadorned, yet dramatic in its design, the 2097 looks as modern as it did when it was launched in 1958. With the chandelier's new matte black color, the frame, sockets and wires blend together and the lamp appears completely monochrome. Like a graphic sculpture, it embraces the room both when switched off and when the 30 light sources are switched on, casting light on the floor, walls and ceiling.
Gino Sarfatti was a true master of light, working throughout his career to find the right light and optimal ways to make a lamp both functional and aesthetic. The 2097 chandelier is just one of 400 lamps he designed in total.
2097 is designed to hang in a hallway, over a dining table, in a living room or office, and the chandelier looks great in high-ceilinged rooms.
Note: 30 light sources are included - a 1000W universal dimmer is required to dim the lamp. The included bulbs are made of clear glass.
The lamp can be dimmed using an LED 180 touch or MEK-S 300CR dimmer.
