NB! You will receive a lampshade with no patina. It is new and has not been exposed to oxygen, which contributes to the development of patina. The process begins once the lamp is in use.
When you order the lamp with ‘Raw Copper’, you receive an untreated lamp. This means that the patina will develop quickly compared to lacquered lamps. The surface is affected by humidity, steam from cooking, rainwater, and many more factors, so we cannot predict how quickly the patina will develop. However, the raw copper will look darker as little as 14 days after removal from its packaging.

The shade of the Raw Copper lamp changes all the time. The copper oxidises even if you touch the shade, so you’ll be able to see the colour change naturally to create the unique, raw finish. Time, environment, and temperature are all factors in the development of the nuances of Raw Copper.
If you wish to speed up the oxidising process, you can place the lamp outside in the shade for a few days.
