A330S Golden Bell Pendant Brass/White was originally designed in 1937, when the architect Alvar Aalto and his wife decorated The Savoy Restaurant in Helsinki, Finland. Eighty years later, the brass pendant still holds its own in the elegant restaurant.
The lamp was relaunched in 2007 in connection with the 80th anniversary and is now available in four different colours: brass, chrome, white, and black. The perforated edge creates an impression of a glowing halo surrounding the lamp—typical of Alvar Aarto’s design that often came with a sculptural twist. The distinct lampshade is made using one piece, which helps give the lamp its soft shapes and high quality.
