Bonbon Shade 380 City is an eye-catching lampshade, thanks to its untraditional materials. The thin yarn is made of nylon to ensure durability and paired with wool to give the lamp a rough appearance. In its shape, the lamp hearkens back to the lovely colour combinations of the retro style that’s come back in style.
Ana Kraš created the first Bonbon lamp as a course project in 2009. 10 years later, the lampshade can be bought from HAY, where the large-scale production is still carried out by hand to maintain the technique and quality of the original lamps.
The lamp can be used as a pendant, table lamp, or floor lamp, so it comes without a socket and cable. You can buy a pendant mount or cable set separately depending on how you want to incorporate the lampshade into your décor.
The lamps are lovely on their own, and the different shapes and complementary colours mean that they can easily be combined to form a decorative cluster. Consider a cluster from the ceiling or a little island of light on the floor.
