Luigi Vittorio Cittadini continues the literary references in the Butler lamp, as he has done with the Around The World lamps, which reference Jules Verne's Five Weeks in a Balloon.
Butler is a tribute to the second most translated book in history, only surpassed by the Bible, The Little Prince. The pilot who encounters the Little Prince in the Sahara always showed the adults a picture of an elephant that had been swallowed by a King Boa when he was little, to see if they are as smart as a child - but most adults thought the picture was of a butler's hat - except for the Little Prince.
The lamp is shaped like a hat - or is it really an elephant inside a snake? - and is created in opalised glass. Pair it with a stand or combine it with a pendant for a beautiful pendant light.
