Butterfly Pendant Green from Frandsen is a beautiful and elegant pendant that embodies the Danish brand’s design DNA. Like the original Ball designed by Benny Frandsen in 1968, Butterfly is characterised by its simple, curvy shapes and fashionable hues.
The lovely pendant consists of three half-domes presented in reverse of one another. The round lines are broken by sharp edges where the spherical shapes meet, so the relaxing and inviting shape has some edge to it—literally speaking. The dynamic gives the lamp a sculptural expression that rubs off on the existing décor, impressing anyone who looks in the direction of the lamp.
A good light emerges from the opalised base, and the top of the lamp likewise lets out some light. This is thanks to the series of small discreet holes that give the lamp a comfortable ambient light.
