Bysted Garden Short LED 2700K m/Spike Aluminium from Louis Poulsen is a modern take on a true classic. Peter Bysted designed the stunning outdoor lamp back in 1975 with a view to create a lampshade that projected an interesting pattern on the ground around it. Bysted succeeded, and the lamp became an outdoor classic, thanks to its revolutionary use of COR-TEN steel and recognisable silhouette.
Louis Poulsen has made some minor changes to the iconic product—such as removing the bolts on top of the fixture—but other than that, the new downscaled Bysted Garden is as faithful to the original as possible. The round, symmetric design is just as elegant and lovely as the original, and the soft glow is guided downwards by the white coating inside the rings to create the lamp’s famous light effect.
