Cable Kit for Panto Pendant was designed by the Danish designer Verner Panton back in 1977 as a natural extension of his popular VP Globe, designed in 1969.

Verner Panton was ahead of his time as far as shape, colour, and materials are concerned. At a time when neat and simple designs were growing in popularity in Scandinavia and the Bauhaus trend was at its peak, he invented an expression of his own. He was focused on creating something unique with the ability to impress, and that is exactly what his designs achieved. This is part of the reason that Verner Panton’s designs remain popular around the world to this day, and the Panto Pendant is no exception.
The Panto Pendant is decorative and designed based on the same principle as the VP Globe Pendant with its crystal-clear transparent acrylic sphere. What sets it apart from its predecessor is the four white reflectors that give the lamp a minimalist and stylish expression. But like all other designs from the hand of Verner Panton, the lamp features a touch of his colourful personality. If you look into the lamp from below, you’ll find a splash of red. This red shade is said to have been Verner Panton’s favourite.
