Cestita Alubat Table Lamp Black is an atmospheric lamp that was designed by Miguel Milá in 1962. Walking down the streets of Barcelona in the 1960s, Miguel came across an abandoned glass lampshade in front of a glass shop. He fell head over heels for this find that soon became the heart of the Cesta collection. ‘Cesta’ is the Spanish word for ‘basket’—designed to hold the “delicate” glass sphere.
The wireless version is charged by USB, after which you can bring the lamp around your home to place anywhere that needs a touch of atmospheric lighting. The built-in LED light source can be set to three different brightness levels and lasts around 5 hours at the highest setting, 12 hours at the middle setting, and up to 24 hours on the lowest setting.
