Cestita Table Lamp White is an atmospheric lamp that was designed by Miguel Milá in 1962. Walking down the streets of Barcelona in the 1960s, Miguel came across an abandoned glass lampshade in front of a glass shop. He fell head over heels for this find that soon became the heart of the Cesta collection. ‘Cesta’ is the Spanish word for ‘basket’—designed to hold the “delicate” glass sphere.
Although the simple design has more than 50 years to its name, the lamp is the ideal fit for modern décor. The soft light creates a cosy atmosphere in any home, and it can be used as both a table and floor lamp. The design of the lamp makes it easy to move the atmospheric light onto the living room shelf, the bedroom floor, or surfaces in your home office.
Note that the lampshade on this version is made from hard white plastic. The material is more durable than glass, but you get the same atmospheric glow regardless of which version you choose.
