Enigma 545 was created by the Japanese designer Shoichi Uchiyama in 2007 as an extension of the Enigma range. It is a larger version of the 425, with floating shades connected by ultrathin wires to give it a transparent and light expression. The Enigma was a good fit for the Louis Poulsen product philosophy and a new interpretation of the multiple shade system. Japanese grace combined with Scandinavian simplicity. The name Enigma is a reference to the seemingly freely-levitating shades when the lamp is on and seen from a distance.
Enigmatic floating shades that complement the visible expression.
The Enigma 545 pendant emits a soft high-quality light that does without glare. The illumination of the five shades gives the lamp a floating and sculptural character.
