Fold is a simple but interesting lighting model with many possibilities. The lamp is part of a whole series conceived by the Danish design group Bønnelycke MDD for Nordlux, and comes in a wealth of beautiful colour variants, each with their own fascinating surface. Common to all the lamps in the Fold series is the rectangular metal luminaire that surrounds the light source and the golden inner side that gives off a deep, warm glow. This makes it an excellent decorative accent light in the living room and hallway or along the corridor in the style-conscious home as well as in the café or hotel.
"NORDLUX SEASIDE - This product is part of Nordlux Seaside. This means that the product is designed to withstand nature. Seaside lights are especially suited to withstand wind, water, sand and salt and can therefore be safely used in coastal areas.
The lights are produced in different materials and it is important to be aware of which material you choose. Seaside models in galvanized steel may have small imperfections in the zinc treatment - and Seaside models in copper and brass, for example, will patinate naturally over time. However, it's important to point out that neither unevenness nor patination will affect the durability and lifespan of the lamp."
The lamp is powered by a built-in LED light source that shines out through an opening at the top and bottom of the luminaire, so it is cast up and down the wall in an indirect two-part light. Four light plates are included, which can be placed in front of the light outlets to create customised lighting scenarios.
