IC is perfectly balances simplicity with elegance while juggling form and function. The simple cones of light rest on a slender metal spike that stands by its roots and proudly lights up the brass or chrome surface.

IC is part of an innovative collection that features table lamps, floor lamps, wall lamps, and pendants that all trace their roots back to their rock-solid DNA. The light and simple design ensures that the lamp fits into many different styles of décor.
The inspiration behind the collection, according to Michael Anastassiades:
“I remember watching a short film about a juggler, Tony Duncan, rolling a set of spheres in the palm of his hands and up on his arms. There were moments when the spheres would seem perfectly still, on the edge of his fingers. Only if you looked very closely could you see them spinning around to achieve the balance. Then I came across the old photographs of Paul Cinquevalli, capturing a moment in the art of contact juggling. That was the source of my inspiration. The IC initials are taken from the codes the English police use to define the perceived ethnicity of people they stop in the street when filing reports back at the station. IC1 means white or northern European. IC2 means Mediterranean/Spanish-speaking, IC3 indicates African/African-Caribbean, and so on. So, there is a playful story behind the way the different designs are identified.”
