The Lesbo Transparent Table Lamp resembles a sponge in its shape, giving it a harmonious, natural look. The lamp has a distinctly design-orientated feel and is skilfully conceived by Italian designer Angelo Mangiarotti for lighting manufacturer Artemide. The lampshade and body of the lamp are one piece of moulded deliciousness made of mouth-blown Murano glass. The base is made of aluminium and provides a small but important contrast. The glass has a shiny surface but is opal white, which ensures a diffuse and uniform light emission on all sides when you switch on the lamp.
Inside the lampshade is an E27 socket that can be fitted with a light bulb of your choice. As the lampshade completely encloses the light source, you get a very soft and pleasant glow that emphasises the beautiful, organic lamp design. If you want an even softer light, the table lamp has a microswitch dimmer to control the brightness.
