Milimetro is a purist lighting series with a focus on clean shapes and a holistic look. The lamp was created by Norwegian designer Daniel Rybakken for Italian design company Luceplan, known for their innovative and experimental approach to lighting.
The lighting collection consists of wall and pendant lights in several different versions, sizes and colour variants. What characterises them all is their ultra-thin design. The lampshade consists of a disc with a thickness of just a single millimetre, which also gives rise to the name of the series, but at the same time has an impressive width that ensures diffused lighting when the lamp is switched on. The underside of the disc is mirror-finished, while the LED light source is placed on the upper side so that the light does not dazzle but is instead directed upwards in a diffused uplight that spreads beautifully throughout the room and creates a pleasant lighting effect.
