The NJP table lamp in black was designed by Oki Sato from the Japanese design studio Nendo.
The NJP table lamp is a new interpretation of the classic architect lamp. The lamp’s simple and clean appearance exposes its functional components, creating an expression that speaks for itself.
The lamp’s functionality is well-considered. The arm’s two joints ensure great flexibility and make it easy to adjust the lamp as needed. An additional detail is that the springs in the joints of the arm are visible, increasing the lamp’s decorative expression. The opening on the back of the shade that faces the arm ensures easy positioning of the head and ventilation for the LED units.
The fixture emits a direct and horizontal light without glare, whilst also reflecting part of the light backwards out of the head, illuminating the upper part of the arm.
The fixture’s ergonomic design shapes the illumination and helps optimise the direction of the light. A simple and mechanical system ensures freedom of movement so that the light can always be set to illuminate the work area as well as possible.
The screen is white-lacquered on the inside, which creates a comfortable, diffuse light.
The lamp comes with a two-metre cable, which is fitted with a switch with two dimmer settings. You can also set a timer, so the light turns off automatically after four or eight hours.
