The Tangent table lamp Desert Sand consists of two tubes of different lengths and sizes, combined to make a simple lamp. Frederik Kurzweg’s designs are characterised by their simple, graphic shapes paired with an industrial expression and made from metal.
The smaller tube on the table lamp serves as the stand, and makes space for the electricity, as the bulb is placed on top. In addition to a cylindrical opal glass sheet, the bulb is surrounded by the larger tube, which serves as the lampshade. With a diameter of just 20 cm, the lamp is easily placed on the dresser, nightstand, or a small shelf in the living room, where it contributes a soft glow to the cosy atmosphere.
